Special Announcement

Hello Springs Family,
Hurricane Harvey has brought a lot of devastation to Houston and the surrounding areas. Many people have lost everything and their needs are great. Many of these families have immediate needs such as food, clothes, toiletry items, and cleaning supplies. Many families will still be in need of help for many months to come and can't even imagine what those needs might be as time passes on.
This devastation has hit close to home for our family. Both my husband and I grew up in the Houston area and we spent the first 25 years of our marriage raising our family there. We moved to the New Braunfels area almost 2 years ago with 4 of our children. We have 2 children who have careers and still live in the Houston Area. (They are doing fine) Our hearts break for all of our friends and family that have been affected by these floods.
I would like to help by organizing relief efforts here at the Springs.
Our local New Braunfels Food Bank and Salvation Army are contributing to meeting basic and immediate needs - We would like to help them in their efforts.
You can take items directly to the NB Food Bank or Salvation Army or you can bring things to Mckenna on Sunday and I will make sure they get to the Food Bank and Salvation Army.
Salvation Army is in nee of: Wash Cloths Bath Towels Baby Items (diapers, ointments, soaps) Underwear for Men, Women and Children Men's t-shirts Razors Deodorant Soap Shaving Cream Toothbrush/Toothpaste Feminine Hygiene Products

New Braunfels, TX 78130
Please make sure that all items are new (not used). It is my understanding that the Health Department will not allow distribution of used items.
It will be an honor to organize and serve along side of you in the months to come as we help to provide some relief to those who are in need.
Thank You,

Sunday Services Cancelled

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of church community, we will be cancelling Sunday services at McKenna Center this Sunday, August 27th. While we will not be meeting together corporately, we encourage you to seek alternate ways to worship the Lord and pray for those affected by this significant weather event this weekend. Families may consider having a special devotional time together praying for evacuees and first responders, and where safe to do so, consider gathering as a Community Group.

As we are continually reminded, we do not go to church, but we are the church. Hurricane Harvey will not change that. Please stay tuned for updates in the coming days on further opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities and in those hardest hit by this tragedy.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2
